Objectives:

  • To expose schools to design thinking and personalized learning instructional models. 

  • To facilitate a process by which school teams create initial drafts of instructional models that align to the district and schools' PL vision/pitch and meets academic needs of students.

 

Recommended Attendees: District PL Council + School Leadership Teams

Next Steps after Design:

  • Complete your school’s Instructional Model (slides 1-8) by June 16 at 5:00 PM.  All linked on School PL Teams.

    • If you need support, please feel free to comment or share with natalie@edelements.com and kelly@edelements.com.

    • Needs to include: PL Pitch, Core 4 Actions (3 actions for each) and 3 Instructional Models

    • We encourage you to clean up your Instructional Models and delete slides you are not using (i.e. after slide 8)

  • Determine how and when you will share your Instructional Models with your school. â€‹ A few ideas of ways other districts have done this with all resources here

    • Beginning of the Year Teacher Bootcamp

    • Divide Teachers into Cohorts: Emerging, Developing, Sustaining, Advancing

    • Core 4 Focus Areas throughout the year (one a quarter)

    • Personalized Learning Playlist 

    • Host Design Workshop (August) and Launch Workshop (September)
